Workforce Educational Organization Announces ADP as Diamond Sponsor

LEMONT, IL and ROSELAND, NJ,  July 18, 2012 –The Workforce Educational Organization (WEO) today announced that ADP ®, a leading provider of human resource outsourcing, payroll, and benefits administration services, has signed on as Diamond sponsor, becoming the non-profit organization’s largest contributor to date.  ADP’s premier sponsorship and longstanding expertise in providing time and labor management solutions to organizations of all sizes will assist the WEO in establishing the industry’s first time and labor management professional curriculum and certification.

The WEO is the first non-profit organization dedicated to increasing the understanding, utilization, and impact of time and labor management systems from an operational, strategic, and financial standpoint.  Time and labor management includes timekeeping, scheduling, attendance and leave, data collection, reporting, and labor related analytics.

WEO President Barry Rubin said, “We are thrilled to have one of the leading providers of time and labor management solutions support our organization.  ADP’s experience in working with thousands of organizations around the world will help ensure that our training and certification best meets the needs of the market and creates increased recognition of the value of effective time and labor management.”

The WEO will offer two levels of certification. The first, the Workforce Asset Management Professional (WAM-P) Certification, covers an array of time and labor management functional areas, offered through instructor-led online training and the Workforce Asset Management Book of Knowledge study guide. The WAM-P designation consists of an exam and oral interview and requires a minimum of three years’ on-the-job time and labor management experience. The second level of certification, the Workforce Asset Management Master (WAM-M) Certification, requires completion of designated continuing education unit courses and a thesis-like project. Both Professional and Master certifications are effective for three years and can be maintained by submitting four qualified Continuing Education Unit credits each year.  Recertification (exam and project) is required every 10 years.  The WEO’s current goal is to have as many as 3,000 professionals certified by the end of 2013.

“As a human capital management industry leader, ADP is committed to the advancement of best practices and supportive of the WEO’s new WAM training curriculum and certification program as a way of ensuring that time and labor management professionals remain at the forefront of their profession,” said Lisa Lane, Vice President of Product Management for ADP Time and Labor Management Solutions.  “ADP is pleased to partner with the WEO who shares our vision for helping employers to reap more strategic, bottom-line benefits from time and labor management.”
